Why I have chosen Simeons Protocol
I will continue with my story about my weight loss.
It was mid 2009 where we decided that we would go for holidays to Argentina for a month mid January 2010. You guessed it I was overweight!
I did not want to go on another VLCD where I would lose muscle as well as fat. I knew enough about the dangers of a non-controlled VLCD diet. I came across this book:
Of course I bought it and read it from cover to cover. Kevin Trudeau’s had changed the diet by adding a pre-diet stage of having, among many things, a colonic irrigation treatment every other day. This did not appeal to me. I downloaded the copy of the original paper of the creator and researcher of the diet and kept looking and decided to do the diet, taking oral HCG. It stands for human chorionic gonadotropin, it is the hormone that women produce whilst pregnant. You can read about the hormone itself on Simeons book. Simeons Protocol in Action
I did the diet exactly as prescribed by Dr Simeons and I lost 28 lbs in the first 43 days:
- I did use organic meat, chicken and seafood.
- I only ate what he recommended and counted the calories to 500 per day.
Why did I eat organic? Because in 1950, when Dr Simeons devised the diet we did not have food mass produced with all the growth hormones and other additives that have become that norm in USA and UK food. Dr Simeons says that you have to leave 6 weeks between starting the diet again, well I did not have the 6 weeks but I left 5 weeks between re-starting and I lost 25 lbs the second time around. I never felt hungry, my skin tightened as I was losing my weight and lost inches from my thighs that had been the bane of my life. I knew I was into a winner.
I started the first 43 days at the end of August and finished the second 43 days on the 23 December. That gave me easily the first three weeks consolidation (without starch) that I needed but I found very difficult to make people understand that I could not have starch when going out to family during the Christmas holiday.
What I found amazing is that I lost about the same amount both times! Even when at the second round I started 28 lbs lighter!
I believe in Positive Thinking. Today as I am writing this, I am starting my Journey, I have called the Category of my blog to register my weight loss, “How I did it” past tense, that is telling my subconscious that I have already done it 😉
