Today is day one of consolidation. I have been dreaming of having frittata so I did one with the last of my Swiss Chard and Broccoli and Mozzarella cheese. You can see how I made the Frittata HERE. To be honest needs a mixture of cheeses as the mozzarella is too mild and tasteless.
Today I also made a beef casserole with carrots, celery, leeks and some small turnips that are sold here in Spain in a casserole pack.
I did not eat many vegetables to be honest but I made myself a pig by eating loads of the Greek Yogurt without sugar that I buy in 1 Kg (2.2 lbs) tube 🙂 I probably was short of calcium, well that is my story and I am sticking to it 😉

Oops put 1 lb. Must have been the yogurt.
Today I did not do much better, don’t know what happens to me and yogurt, I ate loads again, the other kilo 🙂
I had chicken and salad and the rest of the frittata for lunch but again, at the moment of writing this I’ve realized that I am not eating vegetables.

Well my weight did not increase yeasterday.
I ate my beef casserole and only that because I was not hungry, I drank my mate as usual and loads of water.

Oops put another lb and if I put another one is no way I can do a steak day on Christmas Day, well I will have to suffer the consequences and follow Pound and Inches advice:
“It is of utmost importance that the meal is skipped on the same day as the scale registers an increase of more than two pounds and that missing the meals is not postponed until the following day. If a meal is skipped on the day in which a gain is registered in the morning, this brings about an immediate drop of often over a pound. But if the skipping of the meal – and skipping means literally skipping, not just having a light meal – is postponed, the phenomenon does not occur and several days of strict dieting may be necessary to correct the situation.
Most patients hardly ever need to skip a meal. If they have eaten a heavy lunch they feel no desire to eat their dinner, and in this case no increase takes place. If they keep their weight at the point reached at the end of the treatment, even a heavy dinner does not bring about an increase of two pounds on the next morning and does not therefore call for any special measures. Most patients are surprised how small their appetite has become and yet how much they can eat without gaining weight. They no longer suffer from an abnormal appetite and feel satisfied with much less food than before. In fact, they are usually disappointed that they cannot manage their first normal meal, which they have been planning for weeks.”
I know maintenance work due to my first round and doing it in 2009 and early 2010. I think the problem is me and perhaps over enthusiasm and no eating vegetables, I suppose I will have to put up with any increase and do a steak day as soon as possible and if it doesn’t work I will have to do some strict dieting as Pound and Inches say.
I think it would be quite good to see how I cope, but believe me I have not planned this hiccup but I promised to tell the truth and whole truth on this blog 🙂
I prepared the two dishes posted HERE except that I did not do the base for the cheesecake as I couldn’t find flax seeds. I tried one of the Almond biscuits and really didn’t like them. Truly I don’t think I like the taste of the Stevia I have, also I didn’t know how much to put as Leslie Kenton says to taste.
I did like the filling for the cheesecake and it set really nice (again I forgot to take photos)
What I would do is blend the cottage cheese in the future to be smooth instead of cottage cheesy 🙂

Oops disaster 🙁 3 lbs over my last diet day weight 🙁
Obviously I could not do a steak day today.
I ate my Christmas dinner at about 3. I had Pork, with Pate and Port sauce. Loads of vegetables and I committed a mistake: had half roast potato. As soon as I ate it I realized what I’ve done. I drank a cocktail I made with Rum, heavy cream and strawberries. I could not drink my usual wine with the meal as wine have sugar.
Again I did not eat on the evening as I was full. I don’t know if that is my problem as again Simeons gives us guidance:
“BEWARE OF OVER-ENTHUSIASM
The other trouble which is frequently encountered immediately after treatment is again due to over-enthusiasm. Some patients cannot believe that they can eat fairly normally without regaining weight. They disregard the advice to eat anything they please except sugar and starch and want to play safe. They try more or less to continue the 500-Calorie diet on which they felt so well during treatment and make only minor variations, such as replacing the meat with an egg, cheese, or a glass of milk. To their horror they find that in spite of this bravura, their weight goes up. So, following instructions, they skip one meager lunch and at night eat only a little salad and drink a pot of unsweetened tea, becoming increasingly hungry and weak. The next morning they find that they have increased yet another pound. They feel terrible, and even the dreaded swelling of their ankles is back. Normally we check our patients one week after they have been eating freely, but these cases return in a few days. Either their eyes are filled with tears or they angrily imply that when we told them to eat normally we were just fooling them.”

Gained another 2 lbs! I truly don’t know what I am doing wrong! I suppose I had quite salty pate yesterday and did not eat enough. Seriously, luckily for me this is the 3rd consolidation and I know it works. It would be very demoralizing if this had been my first time.
I tried a steak day today. I purchased a 12 oz steak and I had eat at around 8 pm with a large tomatoes. Drank my tea and water all day. Let’s wait for tomorrow.

Lost 2 Lbs but not enough as I am still 3 lbs over my last weight.
I really don’t know what is wrong because I am on one hand not hungry and I am being penalized and putting weight on.
Today I did another steak day but I had some salad with it so it wasn’t a strict steak day.
Will see what happens tomorrow.
